Business Analyst
The interview process was quite extensive. It started with a recruiter call and went through multiple rounds, totaling 5 in all. Despite having over 6 years of experience, I felt it was a bit of a time sink. The company mentioned they ultimately hired someone based in Madison, which was surprising given the thoroughness of my interviews and my willingness to relocate from Chicago. The communication and process felt drawn out, taking about 3 weeks, and the lack of timely follow-up was frustrating. It would have been better if they had been upfront about their preferences earlier to avoid wasting candidates' time and energy.

Business Analyst
A recruiter from the company contacted me about a job. I first spoke with a hiring manager, but then the company put a hiring freeze on for about 2 weeks. After that, I was supposed to move forward, but it turned out the role I applied for got filled internally. They still wanted to consider me for a different role, which I only found out about during the interview with the second hiring manager. They didn't have my resume and weren't sure about the next steps.
- Can you give me an overview of your resume?
Business Analyst
Had a 30-minute phone chat with a recruiter for the Business Analyst role. It covered basic BA stuff like gathering requirements and managing online stakeholders. The recruiter was nice and professional. It wasn't too tough.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a challenging stakeholder?
- What's your process for gathering requirements?
- How do you manage stakeholders you identify through online research?
