I applied online on 9/9/24. Then I had a phone interview with HR on 9/12. After that, I had a virtual interview with the AP manager on 9/23. Finally, I had a virtual interview with 4 team members that lasted 2 hours on 10/1. The HR phone interview was about 20-30 mins and we talked about my career, the job, my questions, and salary. The first virtual interview with the AP manager was 30 mins. We discussed the role, my experience related to the job, financial systems I've used, more about the role, and the team. The second virtual interview was 2 hours long and was split into 30 min segments. It started with the AP Associate Manager, then 3 Lead AP Specialists interviewed me back to back. Each person asked 3 questions and focused on a company value. There was time for questions at the end. Everyone was nice and the process was pretty smooth. I interviewed on a Tuesday, and HR said they'd get back to me by the end of the week. I didn't hear anything, so I followed up the next Tuesday. They said they'd have an answer by the end of THAT week. I finally heard back the Tuesday after that, which was two weeks after the interview.

I was contacted by a recruitment agency for the Senior Accountant role. They set up my first interview with the hiring manager and department head. This STAR format interview lasted an hour and went well. They then wanted to get a reference from my former manager. This call was also successful, and I was told via the agency that an offer would be extended. It took over two weeks for the company to send the initial offer. The offer didn't specify regular working hours, though other benefits were listed, and I was asked to confirm it. I asked for clarification on working hours and the Overtime policy, which I had previously mentioned was not an issue but wanted clarity on. I never got a response. Two days later, the agency called to say the company withdrew the offer because I inquired about the OT policy. They felt I should be focused on the work, not OT handling. My interviews and reference check didn't matter because I asked for transparency about employment conditions before signing. I also missed out on another job opportunity because I declined to interview while waiting for this offer. Their perception is archaic and their communication unprofessional.

The company didn't give any feedback after the recruitment process and didn't inform if someone was successful or not. They ignore candidates and don't respond to emails. Very unprofessional attitude by the company which just started with the business in the new place. If the management says during the interview that people are most important for the company, they should show more respect to potential employees as well.
