QA Lead / Senior QA Analyst
The interview is pretty relaxed. Expect about two rounds of interviews, though a third might be needed if there's a tie. The first part is about getting to know you and your past work experience. The second part is a technical interview. The questions aren't too difficult.
- How would you manage scope creep?
- Describe your method for collecting test requirements when documentation is insufficient.
Sales Representative
The HR recruiter called and qualified me before I spoke to the Hiring Manager. He was going to be traveling the following week but wanted me to meet his team and manager. Because of what I think was a recruiter miscommunication, I showed up expecting a one-hour interview but was there for three hours. I was very sick and didn't want to be there for three hours when I'd planned for one, but I'll move on. I met with three people besides the recruiter who continuously expressed their love for their jobs and their workplace. I wondered if they were trying to convince me or themselves. It all went downhill from there. I felt sicker, they kept talking about how much they love their jobs (unconvincingly), and I only thought about the two-hour drive home in rush hour traffic because I hadn't anticipated being there that long. Overall, it wasn't my best or worst interview.
- Can you share an instance where you effectively handled a customer's objection?
Developer
The whole process took about 4 months. It kicked off with a phone screen, and after a month's wait, there was a webcam interview with four people, which was mostly technical. Another month went by with no news. Then, I got a call asking about my availability for a face-to-face interview. Another month passed without any updates. Finally, I had the F2F interview after 4 months in total. I'd actually lost interest by then but was curious about the office and work environment, so I traveled 4 hours to get to NY. The F2F interview was disappointing; they asked personality and behavioral questions, which I thought could have been done over the phone. I was expecting a technical F2F. They mentioned the hiring manager was on vacation and would return later. Two weeks after that, I got an email saying my qualifications weren't a match.
- What are OOPS concepts?
HR Representative
I was first reached out to by a recruiter and we set up a call to talk about the job. After that, I had another phone interview with my potential boss. Then they had me come in to meet and interview with the team. I met with all the managers and got to see the staff and the building. I then had a final phone chat with the Director of HR for US & Canada. Finally, the recruiter got back to me with an offer. They were really good at communicating and always available.
