Associate Director
First, an HR call to go over work eligibility, your salary expectations, and your interest in the company. They'll make sure you're a good fit. Then, a technical assessment, which is offline and really detailed, testing your knowledge and decision-making. After that, you'll have a peer interview with other directors to talk about the day-to-day reality of the job and confirm your personality and skills align with the role. Finally, a hiring manager and leadership panel interview, which is a mix of technical and behavioral questions.
- Be ready for behavioral questions about the specific role you're applying for.
- Use the STAR method to answer questions.
- Take your time answering each question; there's no time limit.
Senior Associate
The interview process at Evidence Action is quite transparent and also thorough. Specifically I loved the first HR interaction where the job component was explained to me in details just for me to know what I'm getting myself into. Even better, the salary range and benefits were disclosed during the first interaction. This is very important to job seekers. Secondly the pressure was not too much during the proceeding interviews as the interviewers were friendly and open to repeating questions whenever there was no clarity.
- What is your motivation for joining Evidence Action?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
Senior Associate
It was in 4 phases. First an initial interview, then a technical assessment, then a panel interview, and finally an interview with the director. It is important to prepare ahead, practical questions may be asked in addition to behavioral questions.
