First, there was a quick chat with HR. Then, I had a phone call with some developers where we discussed my experience. The next step was an on-site interview. This included a paired programming exercise that involved front-end, DB, and API coding, which wasn't too difficult. It wrapped up with a final meeting with other developers. I was put off by how dismissive, unprepared, and uninterested the interviewers were during this stage – it felt pretty unprofessional and made me not want to work there, which is a shame given their generally good reviews.

Technical Coding Behavioral

I applied through my Grad School referral. First, I had a 30-minute chat with Haley, the recruiter, who was super helpful. Then, I did a 30-minute technical screen with the hiring manager and a team member. It was pretty broad, covering different languages but no actual coding. The onsite interview was the next week and was amazing. I got to work on real customer tickets and fix production issues. The team seemed great and the culture felt fantastic. I turned down the offer because we couldn't agree on the salary, but overall it was a really good experience.

Technical Coding Behavioral Presentation

The process had 3 parts: HR phone screen, technical phone screen, and on-site interview. The screening was standard for the industry, and the questions were specific but allowed room to show understanding. The on-site was also standard. The first few hours involved coding: typical puzzles and a practical task. You'd defend your code and answer questions from potential teammates, leaders, and peers. After coding, HR discussed company culture, a key selling point. Overall, it was a smooth, professional process.
