Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Eversheds Sutherland.
Associate
Had two team meetings where we talked about my motivation for the role, my background, my CV, and some general situational questions like 'how would you deal with that?'. It was pretty conversational and informal. The onboarding was difficult and very admin-focused.
- Tell me about your motivation for this position.
- Could you elaborate on your experience?
- Please review your CV with me.
Senior Associate
I was dealing directly with the Head of Department because I applied straight to them and comms were great before the interview. The interview was scheduled during my lunch break, which in hindsight wasn't the best idea as I had a tight deadline and needed to get back for an office presentation. I ended up waiting 15 minutes and a third interviewer showed up who I wasn't expecting and didn't know anything about, and I even forgot his name. Because of the time crunch, I was bummed and felt I didn't get much of a chance to talk about my skills and what I could bring to the team. I never heard back from them after the interview.
- Can you describe the worst client you've ever worked with?
Summer Associate
The interview process started on campus and then moved to an in-office interview with three attorneys. There was also a lunch with two attorneys. The recruiting manager made sure everything was organized and guided us. They communicated results effectively and promptly, making it a smooth experience overall.
- Which law school class do you like the most?
- Can you tell me about your internship experience during your first year of law school?
