It was quick and easy with a few straightforward stages. I had great conversations with several people, from individual contributors to managers and directors. I even got to chat with the VP of sales, which was awesome for me to have that kind of visibility into the higher ups.

Behavioral Presentation

Applied online and got a call from a recruiter within a day or two. She was super energetic and helped me figure out the right job to interview for. We scheduled a follow-up phone interview with a sales manager, and they were really flexible with my busy schedule. That call was more of a chat where the manager explained their role and I briefly talked about myself and my background. I guess my resume and phone presence made it less intense. Next was an in-person interview where I met three people over two sessions. Everyone was really friendly and laid-back, so expect some casual language. After that, the manager I'd spoken to earlier said we'd set up another call with a VP of sales. I was supposed to get an email to schedule it. When I followed up because I hadn't received it, they told me they'd hired someone else. The process was clear all the way up to the end, and everyone was great. It made me really want to work there. I was surprised I didn't get the offer since I thought the interview went well. But hey, I don't blame them and would still recommend the company based on my experience and the people I met.

Technical Other

This was a really odd interview. I first met with someone who had a VP title but acted more like an engineer. Instead of a proper intro, he immediately gave me an Excel test. I had to answer questions and do math problems on the spot while looking at his computer screen showing internal data. He sat right next to me, which was uncomfortable. It took a while, and I was late for my next meeting with another sales person. The candidate experience was pretty bad and put me off. I was also supposed to meet the EVP who was in town, but he was too busy with other meetings.
