Behavioral Coding System Design

I interviewed for a Senior Manager role in Bangalore. The HR team was quick and friendly, setting up video interviews. The first round included general managerial questions and discussions, and surprisingly, no questions about storage, despite my background in that area. The second round was a technical coding/design assessment on HackerRank, which felt more like a coding exercise than a design question, as the interviewer seemed to expect a specific solution. I anticipated solution design and algorithm questions given my experience level.

The interview experience was very informative and formal, and the people I met were nice and made me feel very welcomed. They kept me informed about every step of the process and were very accommodating with my schedule. The whole thing was online and felt very easy going.

Behavioral Coding Technical

The recruiters were really on top of things and kept in touch. My first interview was a mix of behavioral and coding questions, specifically for a Max Stack role. It seemed to go pretty well. Because I was in Austin, they had some confusion and decided to have me do another phone screen before bringing me to CA. So, they set up a second interview, which was also a mix of behavioral and technical stuff. The interviewer had me write some code for an event-driven system and we talked through it, covering things like locking and deadlocks. After that, they decided not to move forward with my candidacy. My suggestion to this company: find a strong engineer and promote them to manager.
