After applying, I was immediately sent an assessment to complete, after that, I was scheduled for an initial call. The first interviewer introduced themselves then turned off their camera "for bandwidth" and I was being recorded. I was asked personality questions. I moved on to the next round and the same thing, the interviewer introduced themselves and then turned off their camera and I was being recorded. The second interviewer tried to ask me questions about work but then switched over to asking non-work-related questions about my best friend, what my home life was like, and what I was OCD about. Even with these questions, the interviewer was still robotic with their responses and questions. I tried to ask questions about the job, responsibilities, and the interviewer could not give me a clear answer, just that the next interviewer would answer it better. I thought that whole interview was weird and I got MLM vibes. After the interview, I was sent yet ANOTHER assessment to do and that's where I did more research and saw that other people on Glassdoor literally went through the exact same process I did for different roles. Decided not to move forward with the process.

The process was good. After submitting my application it took a second to hear back from them but after that the process was super smooth. The first interview was with a recruiting member from their team on a zoom call that was recorded to show the team leaders you would be joining. They really look out for personality and to see if you will fit into their culture. The next interview was a little over a week later with the COO of the company. They are really serious about getting to know who is coming and and who they are working with. Culture is everything there. After that it took about two weeks to hear back with the results.

It started with an online assessment covering arithmetic, spelling, and typing. I usually skip these kinds of assessments but I was really interested in working in climate tech, so I did it. I feel like my resume should have been enough to show I have these basic skills. After that, there was a video screen. When we got on the call, the interviewer turned on her camera, so I did too. Then she said she was turning her camera off but that I had to keep mine on. I told her that having cameras on for both people is the professional standard and that I wasn't interested in continuing the interview, so I left the call. I can't see any reason for this besides maybe screening for gender/race/neurodivergence, or perhaps trying to find candidates who won't question their "authority." Definitely a big red flag, and I wouldn't recommend this company.

  • How about spelling and grammar basics?
  • Some arithmetic questions, more complex, without a calculator
