First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Everlight Solar.
Intern
The screening was mainly about getting to know each other, with some icebreaker questions. The interviewer didn't seem to have specific details about the job or what the intern would be doing, so the conversation was pretty open-ended.
- If you could have a superpower, what would it be, or which sport would you want to be really good at?
Intern
The interview process included two interviews, with good questions and conversations from the employer. There was an initial screening, followed by the next stage of the interview. It was conducted over Zoom and lasted approximately 25 minutes.
- Tell me about your interest in non-fiction books.
Intern
I applied online and had a zoom screening call after a couple weeks. It was pretty straightforward. Then they sent a personality test. I got to the second round of interviews, but I had to stop there. I found out the internship is a door-to-door sales role, which wasn't in the job description. The schedule is weird: 9 AM to 1 PM, a three-hour break, then 4 PM to 8 PM, and also working Saturdays. Plus, they hire people as 1099 contractors so they don't pay as much tax. They said I'd make more than a W-2 employee, but with self-employment taxes, it didn't seem like a benefit. And no paid time off or benefits because of the 1099.
- What self-help book did you last read?
- What hobbies do you have?
- In X years, where do you envision yourself?
