Behavioral Presentation

They prioritize hiring people with aligned passions and values, not just for growth. This ensures you'll be around people you actually want to be with. The initial interviews were via video chat, making things more relaxed. There were several projects throughout, all meaningful and enjoyable, encouraging creativity and individuality. A 'ride along' offered a glimpse into a typical day, followed by an all-day interview with representatives from every department. The process is designed to ensure a perfect fit for both the candidate and the company. Although lengthy, this is a positive sign of their selectivity.

I got an email from HR, and we had a phone call. Then, after a couple of weeks, I met some people from the team in person; it was pretty chill and they were cool. Later, I had a phone interview with the Head of Finance, and we went over standard interview questions. He was nice and professional. About a week after that, they gave me a project. I didn't get much guidance and my questions weren't answered, but I sent it back. A few weeks later, I went to the office for a longer interview. I didn't get any feedback on my project or info on what to expect, how long it would take, or what to bring. I was there for 5 hours, talking to 7 people, including the CEO, who seemed really uninterested and distracted. The whole process felt disorganized. I never got an offer and didn't get any feedback. When I went to the office, I felt the company culture was kind of snobby, which I think is why I didn't get the job (maybe I wasn't a good fit). In hindsight, it's probably for the best, but it's a shame it left a negative impression of the company.

I applied and about two weeks later, I got an email for an interview the next day. A week after that, I had another interview. Ten days passed and I got a rejection email. I felt like both interviews went well and I'm not sure what I could have done differently, besides not fitting the Everlane mold, which other rejected candidates mentioned. I wish they were more upfront about the interview process like they are about their products.
