First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Everi.
Game Artist
I spoke with HR twice and then the art director, and they seemed really keen on hiring me for one of two openings, one in Vegas and one remote. I did an art test that they really liked, and they thought I'd be great for either role. Then, I was ghosted. I emailed the recruiter multiple times, but a month later, they were looking for work on LinkedIn. I'm not sure if I lost the job because the HR person was let go. I contacted Everi support, and they apologized and asked me to reapply when a position opens up.
- Can you do an art test?
- Tell me about games you've worked on and your experiences with them.
Data Security Analyst
Had a phone screen and then got ghosted. They hyped everything up, said I'd hear back in two days, and three weeks later the position was closed. It was unfortunate and disrespectful, especially since they talked about the great culture. They made it sound like I was a great candidate who would fit, but it was a lie. I'm glad I dodged this place. For future applicants, keep this in mind and look elsewhere - not worth your time.
- Can you tell me about the systems you've worked with?
- Could you describe your previous roles?
Business Analyst
So I had a phone interview with HR first. Then, I had a video interview with the VP of the department. After that, I had a video call with two Product Managers I would have worked with. It was a really bad interview because one of the PMs acted like he knew more about my previous company than I did, even though he never worked there. After I answered one of his questions, he slammed his hand on the desk and said, "Don't tell me about how things are run at XYZ Company; I know how things are handled there. This interview is over!" I was so confused and thought, "Yeah, we're done here." The other PM looked just as surprised as I was.
- Describe how you documented requirements in your previous role and what aspects you found favorable and unfavorable.
- Could you share your experience with requirement documentation from your last position, including what you liked and disliked about it?
Software Engineer Trainee
The interview process kicked off with an online technical test that also included an aptitude section, featuring numerous multiple-choice questions on JavaScript and Node.Js. Following that, there were two rounds of face-to-face technical interviews. The first tech interview, lasting about 45 minutes, covered fundamental concepts in OOPS, DBMS, and general programming, and included an easy coding challenge along with some analytical questions. The second tech interview, also around 45 minutes, delved into my internship project and resume details, required me to write an SQL query for a provided table, and included analytical and puzzle-type questions. The process concluded with an HR round and the final offer.
