Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Everforth Creative Circle.

The interview process was really friendly and casual, super easy. It was a short, to-the-point chat. They knew a good amount about the contract job duties and the hiring manager. They were able to figure out my skills and if I was a good fit for what they needed. Their follow-up communication was excellent.
- Can you tell me about your industry experience?
- How have you handled similar job responsibilities in the past?

It was a professional but casual interview. The interviewer, who was younger than me, was friendly and made good eye contact. She shared her past experience in my field and explained how their services as a third-party provider operate. She engaged positively with my PowerPoint presentation and didn't make me feel uncomfortable about my age. She seemed to appreciate my background in audio and video production and responded well to my attempts at humor. Her attire was more casual than expected, but I understood this as she's an agent, not a direct employer. The company has sent good leads, though none have been in my niche. I appreciate that they're trying to find a good fit. A potential conflict of interest is that they use former employers for work. Given the current difficult job market, especially locally and in this industry, I'll keep applying for roles that match my skills.
- Could you discuss software programming?
- Are you open to relocating?

The interview process and the entire candidate experience is either very opaque (lack of communication and misinformation), unprofessional (generic rejection via text on a weekend), incomplete (total ghosting so who knows what happened to the role), or all of the above. I've yet to have a positive experience with the recruiters; you can't help but get the sense that you're the 'product' that's put back on the shelf after a quick look. There is no rapport building, no getting to know a candidate beyond what you can share in 30 minutes. These are all huge red flags -- if they treat you this way as a candidate how will they treat you as a contractor? I have worked with other contract agencies in the past and the difference is astonishing.
- Can you discuss your background?
