Behavioral Presentation

The interview process has four stages: a phone screening, followed by meetings with the VP, then the Director, and finally a presentation to a panel consisting of the VP, Director, and a Team member. The presentation involved a standard quarterly business review for a partner or client. The interviewers at EverFi were very welcoming, making the experience feel like a casual conversation. They focused on getting to know me and my experience throughout the process.

The EverFi Team was super informative from the start and seemed really invested in seeing if I was a good match for the role. Initially, the recruiter reached out about a position that wasn't quite right for me. However, about a week later, they contacted me again with a role that felt much more aligned with our earlier chat. This made me feel confident that they were not just listening, but also genuinely aiming to ensure both my needs and the company's needs would be satisfied if we moved forward.

Had an intro phone call with recruiter - very chill and laid back, conversational overall. Next step was a conversation with a manager on the marketing team - asked about past experience, interest in the role / Everfi, etc. - again very comfortable and friendly experience. Next was a take home Excel data analysis exercise ... did not proceed with this as I did not have enough experience with advanced Excel to complete it.

The whole thing was quick, about two weeks from applying to getting turned down. I first talked to a recruiter maybe a week after applying. They asked some basic stuff about my background and why I wanted to switch jobs. I got past that and then had an assignment to do. It wasn't too hard, and then I got to interview with the VP. We had a pretty casual chat, and she asked questions similar to the recruiter. I thought I was a good fit skill-wise and experience-wise, so I'm guessing I didn't get an offer because I mentioned I have two young kids, and maybe they weren't keen on that given the travel required for the job, even though I do it now and told them that. At least they let me know quickly the next day. They seem a bit disorganized though because I got another rejection call a couple of days later, which was pretty awkward.
