First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Everest Re Group.
Quantitative Reinsurance Analyst
I had an interview set up more than a week out, and I put a lot of work into getting ready for it. But then, just a day before, they told me it was off because the team decided to go with someone else. It's really not cool to cancel this late, and it disrespects the time and effort people put in. If they already knew who they wanted, they shouldn't have booked the interview at all.

Associate Underwriter
The interview was professional but also felt like a good conversation. Bruno made an effort to learn about my background, what I'm interested in, and where I want my career to go. He explained the job details well and created a comfortable and engaging atmosphere. The questions were insightful, and we had a natural conversation. Even though I couldn't get to all my questions, I felt respected and valued throughout. Overall, it was a positive and informative experience.

SQL Database Administrator
The interview process involved several rounds, starting with technical assessments and moving to soft skills evaluation. It was described as fairly straightforward and not too difficult to pass. Key topics covered include database backups, performance tuning, installation, and configuration. There was also a notable emphasis on cloud technologies and automation.
- Regarding differential backups that happen at a certain point in time, why are full backups not required?
Assistant Vice President
There were several interview rounds that happened really fast, within two weeks. The interviews felt pretty laid-back and the questions weren't too tough. Everyone I met, from the hiring manager to the team members, was super friendly. However, after the last interview, it went completely silent for two months, even though I followed up three times. The recruiter finally got back with a generic rejection, saying they chose someone else, and then they posted the job again. The role and the team seemed great, but the lack of timely and honest feedback was really disappointing and left a bad impression. If the rejection had been quicker and included useful feedback, I would have considered it a positive experience.
