Account Representative
I applied online and heard back via email to schedule an in-person interview. The process has three parts. First, a quick 20-minute in-person chat. Second, a full day of job shadowing. Third, a debrief after the shadowing. I asked what the job involved and was told I'd learn more during the job shadow. When I got there the next day, I got in a car with some people and immediately knew it was door-to-door sales. We drove around all day to small businesses, pitching a product. I immediately said I wasn't interested. The people were really nice and understood. At the end of the day, you meet with the President to go over the day. Since I said I wasn't interested, we all left. Nice company, just not the right fit for me.

I started with a phone call from Kate who asked basic questions about whether I was looking for full-time work and my thoughts on the commute. We then scheduled my interview for the next day. I got a little confused by the buildings, but Kate helped me with clear directions. When I arrived early, Kate chatted with me about my move and made me feel comfortable before my initial interview with Chris. I really enjoyed talking with him and learning more about the business; it sounded like an exciting new adventure. The next day, I was invited back for a full day job shadow, which was my favorite part. I felt amazing! It's incredible that they dedicated a whole day to teach me, even before knowing if I was the right fit. I spent the entire day with Preston, the assistant manager, who made the time fly by. I was impressed watching him with customers, and he was also training someone else at the same time. I knew I wanted to work with him to learn how to be as impressive. He told me about team nights, challenges, trips, and his records, which made me even more excited. He also explained the fast, production-based advancement structure, not seniority-based, which I loved. The corny jokes he told throughout the day also made it fun and lighthearted. At the end of the day, I had a final interview with Casey, who answered my questions and tested me on what I learned. I got a job offer! Preston walked me to the lobby, and I told him I had the best day ever, regardless of the job, and was happy to have learned about the company and met everyone.
- Were there any particularly challenging questions during the interview process?
- Was it difficult to highlight your strengths throughout the day?
- I was able to be myself with a student mentality, so it wasn't difficult at all!
Account Representative
The interview process was a lot friendlier than I had expected. Everyone there was very nice to me and made me feel at ease. The first and third interviews aren't as tough. They lasted about 20 minutes and mainly asking and answering questions. The second interview is about 2.5 hours long. I spent time with another account representative to see the daily responsibility and got to ask more questions about compensation and benefits. It was very informative. Wish more companies have their interview process this way so you can really see what you're getting yourself into.
