I am very disappointed by this interview. I was looking forward to it as I have relevant previous experience in the field, and heard from my consultant that they really liked my resume and were looking forward to meeting with me. Well, they obviously did not expect me to be non-Caucasian. It may sound a bit brutal but the issue lied there. They were very surprised to see me, a bit hostile as if they did not want to speak with me and I felt really uncomfortable during the whole interview. I did my very best but I knew from the minute I entered the room that I would not get the job, I could just tell by their reactions and behavior. They were looking at me like with a bit of disdain. Before applying, I checked the website thoroughly and read that the EIB is inclusive and do not discriminate. This is a lie. Given their attitude, I can only guess that there is absolutely no minority in their workplace. None. It is 2017, people need to be more open-minded. I cannot believe that they are financing projects all around the world but fail to represent that same diversity within their staff; that is being hypocritical. No need to say that I will never apply again there, because what happened with this panel is probably the norm within this company. Things need to change. It is so disappointing from such an important company.

Had a first interview with HR for an hour. Then, a second interview with the HR Officer for staffing and her assistant, lasting an hour. After that, a 30-minute interview with a Head of Unit from the division. Finally, a third interview with the Head of Division, a Head of Unit, and also the HR Officer and her assistant.

This was a really unprofessional interview experience. I found out I didn't get the job from people I knew before they actually told me, which took them 8 months to do via email. One interview, they were 45 minutes late and left me waiting in the room with no one checking in. When they finally showed up, they didn't apologize or even acknowledge being late. They kept saying they were rushed and kept looking at their watches, which forced me to give really short answers and I couldn't really show them what I could do.
