Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Euromonitor.
Account Manager
The first round was about an hour long and covered basic questions like background, education, personality, expectations for the role, and how I'd handle different situations. The second round was a role-play where I had to represent Euromonitor and interact with the interviewer who was playing the role of a customer (Coca Cola). I was given access to their passport database to understand what it offers. The main goals were to assess how I approach customers and how I could expand their business with us, as Coca Cola is an existing client. Afterward, I had to send a follow-up email.
- What was the best part you did on the role play?
Account Manager
I had an interview with an HR person from Shanghai, but her English wasn't great. It seemed strange applying for a job in Sydney with HR based in China. I never heard back, which I thought was unprofessional.
- Do you have experience doing product demos?
Account Manager
It was a few weeks long process with several stages. Started with a phone interview with HR, then a 1 to 1 with the line manager. The final stage was a role play and a presentation to the line manager and the head of Sales. They give you company data to prepare the presentation, which takes a few days.
- What's your approach to handling challenging client interactions?
