Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Euromonitor.
Account Executive
The interview process was really inefficient. First, the regional recruiter asked me to submit some questions, which I did. Then, a few days later, I got a surprise call from the recruiter, unscheduled, during work hours, which was a bit weird. We then set up a standard HR call, but they asked the exact same questions they'd already received in writing, showing they hadn't even looked at my answers. Following that, there was a call with someone at the local level, which was a better, more productive conversation. Honestly, they should really respect candidates' time and schedules.

Sales Executive
I went through an agency that sent me on some bad interviews. First, I had a 1-hour call with the Head of Recruitment where they asked about my work history and did a simulated call. Then I went for an in-person interview with 2 managers, which I thought went well. I got positive feedback, but then my recruitment consultant told me the roles were canceled because the company was looking for 'Graduate Intake.' I suspected something was wrong because, two weeks later, I saw the same roles posted on Euromonitor's LinkedIn job boards. The company and my recruiter wasted my time, and my recruiter lied about the roles being filled by Euromonitor's grads. I didn't get placed by him and found better roles elsewhere.
- How would you describe yourself as a great salesperson?
Business Development Executive
I found the job on LinkedIn but ended up applying on their careers page. About 1-2 weeks after applying, HR reached out to schedule an initial phone screen. After the phone screen, I had an in-person interview. They mentioned they might use Skype for some candidates. The questions they ask are direct and depend on the specific role and manager. The next step, as far as I know, is always a case study. The case study itself is time-consuming and challenging, which is appropriate, and it includes several questions tailored to the position. It's a good chance to show your skills. You'll then present your work from the case study in the third round and answer follow-up questions. The whole process was smooth and pleasant, and HR was very responsive, which I appreciated.
