Associate Director
Communication was really bad. I didn't get the sense they were serious about hiring the right person.
- What do you feel you have to offer EG?
Associate
I got an email, and after a long wait, I set up an initial call with HR. Then, I had a second call with someone from the department I applied to. Both talks went well and were positive. They said they'd be in touch soon and hoped to finish everything in two weeks. But then, I heard nothing back. I sent an email to check on the status, but still no reply. It's been about 8 weeks now. You could tell they were a bit unorganized, which felt really unprofessional. They should at least let people know if they didn't get the job, if the position was canceled, or anything else. It doesn't make the organization seem professional or well-run.
- Can you tell me about a time you managed a big project involving outside contractors?
Associate
It was a 2 step process. The first interview was with the head of business development, and then I had an interview with senior research leads at their office. The business development interview was focused on pitch analysis and my experience in account management/customer-facing roles. The interview with research was focused on global views on geopolitics.
- Can you tell me about your experience in originating sales?
- What is your background in analyzing pitches?
- Describe your experience in account management or customer-facing positions.
