A month after applying, I got a phone call to set up an initial phone interview with my future boss. A couple weeks later, I had a full day of interviews. This included an HR chat in the morning, another chat with my future boss, a chance to chat with current employees in similar roles to learn more about the job, and then a group/panel interview where 4 researchers asked me about my experience and background. I also had to complete a background check. Around 10 people were contacted for the phone interview, and 4 of us made it to the in-person interviews. I got hired for the position, and another person was hired for a similar role in a different R&D department.

The interview was very casual and made you feel comfortable. There were about 3 people on the line who asked questions. They asked questions like "Tell me about yourself, what do you know about ETS, why should we hire you, and etc.". As the interview continued, they asked questions pertaining to my resume and research that I've done in the past. At first I was very nervous, but with time and as the interview progressed the interviewers made you feel very comfortable. Prep, ask yourself questions and do your research on the organization.

I had a phone interview with 3 people from the team, and then an on-site interview with about 14 people. The on-site was back-to-back interviews from 8 AM to 12 PM. A week later, I got a call with a job offer, but then it was rescinded because they said I didn't have the required experience. HR sent a two-sentence email about it, which felt really unprofessional. The people I met seemed nice though.
