After I applied, HR got in touch about a month later. They first asked about my salary expectations, which seemed pretty firm, before we even got into the interviews. Then, I had an interview with the manager and a teammate, and it felt like it went well. After that, I didn't hear back, even after sending two follow-ups. Finally, over a month later, I just got an automated rejection email. It felt unprofessional how they handled communication and follow-up; a personalized email or a call would have been the least they could do.

I applied on their website and got invited to an open day assessment. I decided to go in person. Three days later, I got an email for an online interview, but since I had already bought tickets for the open day, I stuck with that. I have experience with major airlines and studied aviation, so I thought I'd be a good fit. I arrived 10 minutes before the open day started, and the room was full. After filling out an online form, I sat down and chatted with other potential joiners, most of whom had no experience. We were told there would be a quick personal interview, and those who passed would have a group activity the next day. My first interview was very fast. They asked about my CV, why I wanted to join Etihad, if I had prior CC experience, and then gave me a random topic to discuss. The recruiter mentioned I'd meet him again soon. I was rejected that evening via a generic email with no explanation. I felt the process was handled unprofessionally; for instance, I got the assessment invitation first, then the online interview invite just before the assessment. The interview structure also felt ineffective for candidate selection, despite the recruiters being nice.

I went to an open day in Manchester, and it was super smooth! The first day was just for dropping off CVs. Then, the successful ones got called for the actual interview the next day. We started with a group activity, then there was a presentation about the company, and after that, the interview. The final interview was really short, like 5 minutes, and they asked two questions: one about cabin crew responsibilities and a situational question. A few days later, I got the English test, which was really tough, way harder than the EK one! It was so hard I heard native speakers get wrecked by it. Three weeks after finishing the English test, I got the offer!

After applying online, you'll get an assessment invitation via email. On the first day, you'll wait to submit your CV to a recruiter. That same day, you'll hear if you're moving on to the next step (an interview the following day) or if you've been rejected. On the second day, a recruiter will conduct a brief interview focusing on your background, height, and any tattoos, scars, or marks you have, as well as why you want to join this airline. That same day, you'll get an email about passing or failing. If you pass, you'll do a role-play activity in groups with other applicants. This part assesses teamwork and decision-making. If you pass this, you'll have a final brief interview with another recruiter. The HR team oversees the entire process, with a different recruiter for each stage. You'll receive an email in a few days regarding your success or failure, followed by an English test and medical documentation if you pass.
