Account Manager
The interview process felt like a scam from the start. I applied for an Account Manager role, but upon arrival, I was told the position requires starting in door-to-door sales. You can choose between a base salary of 25-30k plus commission, or 100% commission. This consulting firm is hired by companies like Century Link and T Mobile to recruit people for door-to-door sales. They do have a development plan for high performers. Be prepared for very low pay initially; it might take about a year to get promoted to assistant manager if you do well. Just a heads-up, the company's turnover rate is really high. I'd guess most people only last 4-5 months, and the overall turnover could be around 65%-80%, which explains why they're always hiring. The shifts are daily from 11 am to 7 pm, with optional work on Saturdays sometimes. If you want to succeed here, expect to work 50-60 hour weeks with poor starting compensation.

Account Manager
I applied online and got a call back in about four hours from the hiring manager, who was extremely peppy and very nice. Went into the office the next day for an interview. Filled out an application right when I walked in, then met with a team leader for about five minutes who asked me basic questions about my strengths, weaknesses and career goals. She then briefly told me what the job is about, which pretty much sounds like working in hard sales for Century Link and T-Mobile. In other words, doing the grunt work on behalf of these big-name companies. It pretty much has nothing to do with marketing. She didn't even ask me if I had any further questions about the company/job duties. Red flag!

Account Manager
The first interview is quick, mostly a resume review. The second interview is longer, covering company history and future plans. I was suspicious at first, thinking it might be a scam, but decided to proceed. They ask you to save questions for the end as most are answered during the interview, though they were happy to answer mine. The third interview is with the Owner, and I came prepared with more questions, wanting to know as much as possible since I was on the fence. (Then I thought, 'no scam would involve a drug test or background check').
- What makes you worth my time as an investment?
