Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ethicon.
Account Executive
The interview process uses a STAR format for evaluation. Even if you have great stories and experience, if another candidate answers according to their rubric better, you might not get the role. I used the same interview stories for DePuy Synthes and got in on the first round, and later for Salesforce and got in on the first round.
- Can you share an instance where you faced and overcame a challenge?
Account Executive
the interview process wasn't too tough. usually, there are about 3 rounds with panel interviews. they ask basic questions about sales and medical devices. make sure to show your personality and how you can own your business. it's very professional, and using the STAR method is important. always try to close the deal in your interviews.
- Can you share an instance where you disappointed someone?
Account Executive
It was a 3 part process. First, video recorded questions, then two in-person meetings with different managers. It was pretty straightforward with no special projects or presentations required. I appreciated that they focused on interviewing based on who you are, rather than making you prepare a pitch or presentation.
- Can you share an instance where you identified a need that wasn't being met?
