Had two interviews with two professors, then a half-day session where I presented my previous work (10min presentation + 30min Q&A) and got to know the team. All interviews were via Zoom, but normally it's in-person.

Technical Presentation

It was an online technical screen first. Then I was invited for an on-site visit where I gave a talk to the research group and met with other team members for the rest of the day, which was essentially another technical screen. An offer came a few weeks later.

Applied for a Researcher role at the Center for Security Studies (CSS) at ETH. Didn't get any response or rejection email even after emailing twice. This seems to be a pattern with CSS, as I had a similar experience before. They seem to ignore follow-up emails and delay rejection emails, which is disrespectful. I suggest CSS improve their hiring practices and follow ETH guidelines for recruiting, treating candidates professionally. CSS recruiting practices are subpar and may lead to disappointment.
