The interview process involves 6 rounds checking analytical skills. An aptitude test might be given early on. The main goal is to find someone with fluent English and strong analytical abilities.

I got referred and applied, and a Jr.Recruitment Specialist reached out within a week. Round 1 was a quick recruiter call with standard questions. Then, Round 2 was a semi-technical phone call with the same specialist, lasting an hour, mixing HR and basic tech questions, and explaining the business/benefits. A couple of days later, they scheduled a technical screening (Round 3) for the same day with a team member, focusing on front-end tech, which was pretty basic. The HR then scheduled a client call (Round 4) within 3 days, which was supposed to be video but ended up being a phone call at 4:30 am IST with a friendly US-based client, focusing on a case study with good two-way communication. That same day, a Sr.Recruitment Specialist set up an assignment (Round 5), which was a timed, 24-hour activity with an option for a help session. After I submitted it, I was told I missed crucial points and had to retake it within 6 hours. Then, 2-3 days later, a client call (Round 6) with a UK-based client was set for 5:30 pm IST via Google Hangouts, this was non-technical, focusing on communication, problem-solving, and included puzzles and guesstimates. The British interviewer was friendly. Within a week, the Jr.Recruitment Specialist contacted to schedule the final round, which got rescheduled once. Round 7 was the final round with the director at Medallia, a Skype call at 1 am IST lasting a couple of hours, with someone from Gandhinagar helping coordinate. The interviewer, Indo-American, asked about life story, work style, background, behavior, and aspirations, while being a bit distracted. Communication, confidence, and justifying past actions are key here. They gave insights into the company's business.

The interview process was long and kind of a pain. Here's what I remember: First, a phone screening with the consultancy to check my profile and general info. Second, another phone screening, this time with the company's HR, to verify what I told the consultancy. Third, a technical phone interview covering UI languages like HTML, CSS, JS, and XML basics. Fourth, a client interview via Google Hangouts where they assessed my confidence, aptitude, reasoning, problem-solving approach, work attitude, and flexibility for shifts (they scheduled mine for 5 am IST!). They really wanted to know the real me. Fifth, a 'Specification Challenge' where I got a business scenario or functional requirements and had to write a Word doc about it. This tested my ability to understand and solve problems quickly, articulate product features, draw conclusions, and communicate clearly. Sixth, another client interview on Skype, very similar to the first client one, no major differences (scheduled for 1:30 am IST). Seventh, a final client interview on Skype with the head of the client company. It was like the previous client interviews, with some personal questions about my life story, aspirations, role flexibility, practical approach, business scenarios, and how I handle decisions and patience. (This one was at 9:30 pm IST).
