HR reached out to me and we set up a time to interview. After that, I had a second phone interview with the actuarial director. He asked mostly basic questions but didn't seem super engaged. I followed up a few days later, and HR let me know the interviewer thought I wasn't "strong enough." No specific feedback was given.

Got a call the day before my phone interview asking if they could call the next day for it. They called at the scheduled time and it was pretty rough. It was weird because there was no real conversation. The lady would ask something and then just not respond to my answers. Three seconds of silence seemed to be the signal I was done. They asked some standard stuff about Excel and metrics, but she was really looking for specific answers and would keep twisting questions until I got it right or was completely lost. She gave me a complicated math problem and wanted me to solve it over the phone, walking her through it step-by-step. Then, halfway through, she cut me off saying I was wrong and we were out of time. I was super frustrated by the end and wouldn't have taken the job even if they offered.
