Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Estée Lauder Companies.
Software Engineer
They had two interviews, first one with HR and then a superday. They didn't ask too many technical questions, it was mostly behavioral. The superday involved talking to a couple of employees who work there, and it just depends if you get lucky.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What motivated your interest in Estee Lauder?
Product Development Engineer
The interview process felt too complicated with too many steps and procedures. While a thorough vetting process is good, the amount of stages felt like a lot, making it a long and sometimes confusing experience. It seemed like there were too many check-ins, which stretched out the timeline and made it harder to focus on figuring out if it was a good fit. Making the interview process simpler could make it better and less overwhelming for candidates.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
Software Engineer
It was mainly a mix of behavioral and technical questions, focusing on my resume, past experience in similar roles, including projects, competitions, and general knowledge. There wasn't a coding test, so all three rounds were just Q&A.
- Can you describe the projects you've been involved in?
- Have you had any experience in a leadership capacity?
