Marketing Intern
The interview process started with a group interview on 11/11/24. It included 4 other candidates and a hiring manager. We were asked why we wanted to intern there, about facing an unrealistic deadline, and a time we used feedback. Then, there was a group problem-solving question. Two days later, I had a one-on-one interview where they explained the role and company and asked general personal questions. It's been two weeks and I'm still waiting to hear back, so no offer yet but I'm hoping.
- Tell me your motivation for wanting to intern here.
- Can you describe a situation where you faced an unrealistic deadline?
- Share an experience when you had to deliver bad news to someone.
Brand Marketing Intern
I applied via email from the university’s page back in September 2022 and got a response to be invited to the interview with HR in December 2022. The hiring process was pretty fast. After the HR interview, they’d let you know the results in less than 3 days and then you’d get invited for the user interview with the manager and a country manager. The interviewers were nice and it felt more like a chat because they were mainly interested in your skills, past experiences, and why you want to intern there. In total, it took about 2 weeks from start to getting hired.
- Could you please introduce yourself?
- What is your understanding of our company?
- What is your motivation for joining our firm?
Marketing Intern
I submitted my application for the marketing internship online in January, which included my CV, a cover letter, and a SWOT analysis for one of ELC's brands. In March, I was contacted for a telephone interview. The interviewer was quite friendly and asked mostly competency-based questions. I was initially told I'd hear about the next steps by the end of the day, then it was pushed to the end of the week, and then the week after that. After a lot of chasing, I was eventually told I'd find out "in due course." Ultimately, I never received any follow-up from Estee Lauder regarding my application status. Honestly, the candidate management was terrible. Although the company seemed like a great place to work, the lack of communication and response to my inquiries was really disappointing and showed a lack of consideration for potential employees, especially given the effort I put in.
- What are your views on beauty bloggers?
- What skills do you possess that would be beneficial for this internship?
- Can you describe your strengths and weaknesses?
