It was a video interview, two-way. They were very professional and really laid out what the job entails. They asked a bunch of different questions, like what I thought the job duties would be and why I wanted to work for Estee Lauder.

Behavioral Technical

I have gone through the interview process with this company multiple times over the last three years, and each experience has been pretty disappointing. While I don't necessarily regret not getting the job, the lack of communication is what I find really disrespectful. I submit my application on their website, and then a recruiter contacts me for an initial conversation. That part usually goes fine, but that's typically where things start to go downhill. If I don't proactively reach out to the recruiter, they never inform me if I've progressed to the next stage, which usually involves speaking with a VP or Manager. Following the interview with the VP or Manager, there's still no follow-up from the recruiter, even when I send emails asking for an update. It's frustrating to then see the same job posting remain open for another 3-6 months. It feels like they just enjoy wasting people's time.

Behavioral Technical Other

The interview process spanned about 2.5 months. It started with an initial HR screen call, which was brief and focused on specific resume skills. This was followed by an in-person meeting with the HR representative, where details about the job, salary, bonus, and benefits were discussed. Next, I had an in-person interview with the department's VP, which involved a discussion about the department's work, its needs, and included reviewing sample reports. The third interview was with the hiring manager (my potential direct supervisor), focusing on specific bullet points from my resume and asking for examples. The final interview was with another administrative assistant, more of a conversation to see if we'd work well together. Throughout the process, the company felt like a well-oiled machine, with pleasant and professional staff. Interviews were punctual, held in a private office, and amenities like water and coat hanging were offered. The people were very well-mannered.
