Applied online, then had a phone screen. After that, I had a Zoom interview with a VP. The VP seemed to be in a bad mood and didn't even look at my resume. They cut the interview short after only 10 minutes, saying I wasn't a good fit because my experience doesn't match the role. They blamed the recruiter for wasting everyone's time. It was really rude and arrogant, especially since the Zoom interview was scheduled days after the phone screen.

Behavioral Presentation

The whole process took a month and included 4 interviews. I felt a bit wary because of some empty promises from hiring managers and interviewers. It felt like they were more focused on getting ideas for their current employees instead of how my experience could help the company grow overall. Despite the empty promises and lack of updates on my application, it was still a good chance to learn about Essex's new business model.

The whole interview process took way too long, like over a month. The team was super inconsiderate and the HR kept giving me mixed info. They asked for a bunch of work samples (like excels). I had several zoom calls and then an on-site, which included a panel interview where I had to present a 'homework' case study. Honestly, it felt like they were just trying to steal ideas with these fake interviews. For a non-tech role, 5 rounds felt totally over the top. Ended up getting rejected after all that.
