It was a panel interview and each person on the panel asked questions about their specific business area. It was pretty easy and straightforward for those interviewing.

This hiring process took over 3 months for a lower-level role, which felt unnecessarily long and like a waste of time. I get wanting to check candidates out thoroughly, but 5 rounds for a non-senior job is a lot. The first few steps were fine: a quick call, then two 1:1 chats with future coworkers. But then they had this 'teams' interview where they asked pretty much the same stuff, and the interviewers, though nice, didn't seem to know what the job was about. It just felt like a wasted effort for everyone involved. I'd suggest ESRI rethink how they hire. Being thorough is good, but don't drag it out.

The whole thing took me about two weeks. I had three phone interviews, with about three days in between each. It starts when someone contacts you because they're interested in you for the position, and then they schedule the interviews from there.
