The interview process involved 4 rounds. The first was a tech round that focused more on discussion than coding, covering ANR and architecture topics. The second round was also discussion-based, delving deeper into architecture and your past experiences. Following that was the hiring manager round, aimed at assessing your fit with the team. Technical Coding

I applied online through the company's website. I got a call for an interview and was asked to take an online test before the first round. After passing the online test, my first interview round was scheduled. It wasn't great. The interviewer didn't know security engineering. He gave me coding questions and asked to optimize the code, which is totally not relevant for a security engineer role. There were no questions about OWASP or application attacks. It felt like he was asking questions from a random website he found on Google. It was the worst interview ever.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Could you optimize the code for the two coding questions I gave you?
  • Have you ever worked with firewalls?

Behavioral Technical

HR reached out initially to inquire about my background and to set up a call with a Senior Tech Team member. After a few follow-ups, an interview was scheduled. The interviewer was late which was a turn-off and seemed arrogant, thinking they knew more, especially about scale and tech stacks. I felt the interview was a sham and a waste of time. For senior roles, companies should treat candidates with respect. There seems to be leadership turnover, suggesting internal issues.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you discuss your previous projects?
  • Tell me about your experience with large-scale challenges.
  • What challenges have you faced regarding scale?
