It was a 1-stage process. After confirming my attendance, I got a really helpful interview guide that told me how I'd be assessed. The interview was virtual, over Teams with an Engineering Manager and a Software Engineer. The Manager was in the office in a conference room, but the Engineer was at home. It was scheduled for an hour but ended 5 minutes early. They were nice and gave good insights about the company! At the start, they explained it would be 10 main questions, then a background check, and finally a chance for me to ask questions. No technical questions were asked, but they might ask some follow-up questions to get to know you better. Be ready though, they can catch you out! I didn't get an offer because my answers weren't as concise as other applicants. Their advice is to use the STAR technique and time yourself.

The whole interview process lasted a little over a month. I started with a recruiter call, then had interviews with a manager and team members. Most of the interviews were a mix of behavioral and technical questions. They kept me updated on where things stood throughout.

The on-site interview was a couple of hours long and felt a bit unusual. The hiring manager didn't interact with me. I was interviewed by two developers who primarily asked about my past experience, but it seemed like they weren't quite sure how to conduct the interview. There was also a coding portion. The engineer conducting it came across as arrogant, solely focused on whether I could recall specific .NET keywords, showing no interest in my experience or system design abilities.
