First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Erste Group.
Business Development Analyst
It was a 4-stage interview process. First, there was a screening call with HR. Then, a videocall with both HR and the hiring manager. After that, I had an in-person technical interview. Finally, there was a technical interview via video call. The technical questions got harder as we went, but overall it was a good experience.
- Can you explain how your previous experience aligns with the requirements of this position?
Senior Software Engineer
It's a 3-round process. First round is split into two 1-hour sessions: one with HR and your future manager, and another with a staff engineer. The second round is a 5-hour live coding session where you need to implement a solution based on evolving requirements. Each hour, a new engineer (future colleague) joins you, and your objective is to refine the solution for code quality and system design. The number of iterations completed isn't the main focus. The third round is a 1-hour panel discussion with your future colleagues.
- Could you assess if the provided code snippet demonstrates good design in terms of clean code?
Investment Associate
This was a tough interview process. You're required to put together a really strong 10-15 minute presentation. They asked a lot of industry-specific questions, so definitely brush up on different kinds of investments, all the key financial ratios, and laws related to investing. They also wanted to hear about what's happening in the market right now and your thoughts on various investment approaches.
- Could you explain the difference between the Sharpe ratio and the Treynor ratio?
Technician
Just be yourself and confident. Eager to learn. An efficient and effective hiring process is a step-by-step process for hiring a new employee, whereby an organization identifies its talent needs, recruits from its talent pool and eventually hires the most qualified candidates. Most companies have their own hiring processes. What follows are the most common steps in the hiring process across industry and regardless of company size. Keep in mind, however, that the specific details of the hiring process are unique to each company.
- Where do you envision yourself in five years?
