Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ERPi.
Consultant
First, there was a phone screen to check basic technical skills relevant to the job. Then, there was an in-person interview that lasted about an hour with two people who had different backgrounds. It was pretty formal, with four parts that had questions, and then a final case study type question. This case study was usually about your area, like health or tech. Most of the questions were about behavior or culture fit.
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage someone senior to you?
- Tell me about a time you had to resolve a conflict between people.
Consultant
I got an email from a recruiter and then had an initial chat, a phone interview, and an in-person interview all within the same week. About a week after the interview, I got an offer that was 10k less than what the InFlow recruiter had promised. I countered with a reasonable number, since I'd be making the same or more at my current job. After waiting 10 business days for a response, I reached out to the InFlow recruiter again. He admitted he knew ERPi wasn't going to meet my number but said he'd check if they'd make other changes to the initial offer. Three days after that, I was told my offer was on hold and I'd likely not hear back. Don't expect a performance bonus or a signing bonus from ERPi. The recruiting company, InFlow, was also really unprofessional. During negotiations, I had to contact my InFlow rep at least 3 times over several business days before getting a status update.
- Can you estimate the number of smartphones sold last year?
- Tell me about a situation where you had to inform a client that their request was beyond the contract's scope.
- Can you provide an example of when you anticipated a client's needs?
Senior Consultant
I interviewed with the recruiter first, who was really helpful in figuring out what roles at the firm would match my skills and experience. Then I moved on to a panel interview with a senior manager and a director. I had a great time with them, and the recruiter called me right after to let me know they wanted to move forward. They initiated the background check and required me to submit 5 references. However, I never received a verbal offer. When I followed up with the recruiter, they mentioned there were some internal delays and no updates yet.
- What systems or software are you familiar with?
- Tell me about a time when...
- Describe a situation where...
