Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ERM.
Managing Consultant
There were 2 rounds. The first was a call with a recruiter who managed the process. They asked for basic info and background, explained the company/role, and asked about your job preferences. Then there was a short online assessment to gauge your work style and fit with the team (no right/wrong answers). The second interview was a conversational panel with people of different levels. You had plenty of time to ask them questions.
- In your opinion, what are the top skills a consultant should possess?
Consultant
Applied via LinkedIn and after a few weeks, the Talent Acquisition team reached out. Had a quick GTKY session, and then my application was forwarded to the relevant Partner for further assessment. Passed that screening and got invited to an interview. The interview wasn't too intense, asking questions about my past experience and technical knowledge. It was also a chance to see if I'd be a personality fit with the team.
- Can you describe your past relevant experience for this role?
- Tell me about your past experience working with ERM's clients.
Senior Consultant
The HR partner was nice and sent over benefits info early. The rest of the process was pretty unstructured though. Interview dates and stages kept changing. They scheduled an interview, then cancelled it, and then I had an assessment which I failed. Another interview was scheduled, and then the job title even changed. The interviews themselves were with pleasant managers and team members, but nothing really concrete came out of it and it felt like a lot of wasted time and resources.
- Standard, non-confrontational questions were asked.
