The interview process had 2 rounds. First was an HR round, and the second was a technical round. They asked questions about communication, conflict management, project management experience, leadership, and your reasons for joining the company. They also asked how you fit into the organization and about a process improvement project you worked on, as well as your strengths and weaknesses.

- Given that you're at the Associate level, we expect you might not have extensive real-world project management experience, but it seems you do have some, which is a plus. Your certifications are also valuable talking points. Based on my experience, they focused a lot on your soft skills – things like communication, conflict management, leadership, and time management. You should be ready to discuss: a specific instance where you had to deliver bad news; how you approach situations where a project deviates from the original plan; your methods for building consensus; and an example of a project you were involved in and its outcome. These examples should give you a good sense of the answers they're looking for, though there might be other questions too.

They had two job postings, one for Senior Project Manager and one for Master Project Manager. I was told the Master PM role wasn't really open and is usually filled by internal promotion. They seem to want to hire less experienced people at lower salaries, even though their benefits are good. If you're experienced, probably don't bother applying because they send a generic rejection even after you prove your experience and ace the interview. It seems like they just want the cheapest candidate with minimal experience.

I applied for the project manager role back in September 2021. A week passed and I still hadn't heard anything, then I checked my spam folder and found an email from Erie. It asked for a video recorded interview and I had 72 hours to complete it. The email was sent on a Friday at 9am, but I only found it Sunday morning at 7am, which left me just 2 hours to record and submit. Unfortunately, I couldn't answer all the questions in that time before the interview closed. I tried reaching out to HR by email and phone on Monday to see if the interview could be reopened, but I never got a response. It's been a really bad experience so far, and I won't be applying for any more jobs with this company.
