I had a phone call with Ryan, the recruiter for the IT department, who asked about my availability for an in-person interview at Erie. When I arrived, Ryan and an IT intern coordinator met me and another candidate. They asked us questions about our resumes and then shared their own experiences. After about 20 minutes, they separated us into two panel rooms. Each room had senior IT staff (directors, SSVs) who immediately started asking us questions like 'Why ERIE?', 'Who inspires you?', 'Tell us your experiences in technology,' and 'Where do you expect technology to go in the next 10 years?'. They also emphasized being honest and upfront about our strengths, weaknesses, and responsibilities in extracurricular activities.

I applied for the internship in early September of 2016. Got a call to interview at the beginning of October. It started with a half-hour interview with two interviewees and was interviewed by one HR person and one IT Supervisor. Then, the two interviewees were split up and interviewed by a team of three people from IT Managers and Supervisors.

I got a call about 2 weeks after applying online. They seemed to have lots of openings. First, I had a 30-minute chat with HR, and then a 30-minute meeting with the IT team, which had about 4 people. Everyone was really friendly and put me at ease. About 3 weeks later, they got back to me with an offer.
