First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Erie Home.
Project Coordinator
The interview process was solid and communication was good. It started with a one-on-one with a regional manager, followed by panel interviews with several other regional managers. They asked good questions and gave a solid explanation of the job scope and expectations. The offer was non-negotiable, but the starting pay, bonus, and benefits were decent.
- What is your process for vetting a sub-contractor?
Sales Representative
The interview process had two rounds. The first round was a basic qualification check. The second round focused on work experience and included challenging questions. Overall, it was a solid process, and I had no complaints about the interviewer or the process itself. The job is commission only with odd work hours.
- Why do you believe you'd succeed in a commission-only role?
Sales Manager
I had a Phone Screen interview over the phone, then 2 in-person interviews. The second in-person interview was a waste of time. The manager made up his mind about me when I walked in. He repeated questions and it was clear that being female and not in my 20s made me not a good fit in his eyes. He said I’d be the only female and was concerned I wouldn’t fit with all the 20-something guys in the bullpen.
- Would you feel comfortable going into people's homes?
Recruiter
So I did a phone screen first. Then they sent me two assessment tests which were pretty easy. After that, I had an in-person interview. They didn't hire me because they said I didn't have enough experience, which was weird since they interviewed me anyway. They did say I did really well on the assessments though. It felt like a waste of time because they could have seen from my resume that I lacked experience.
- It was laid back and simple.
