The interview process was quite thorough, involving a technical test and then a meeting with the hiring team to check out my business analysis skills. They also did a panel interview to see how I handle running reports.

Behavioral

The interview process kicked off with the initial application and then a competency test that included Excel, SQL, and some other tasks. The next step was a Zoom interview with the London office recruiter. Unfortunately, when I asked about the possibility of a more remote-focused hybrid position, which I had already indicated interest in on my application and through a referral, the recruiter immediately shut me down. This made me feel like the interviewer wasn't prepared or didn't properly read my application. I really didn't appreciate the recruiter's tone during the interview, and I feel like my time was wasted. If the requirement for in-office work is strict, they should have just denied my application from the start. I'd suggest Equus be more open to candidates interested in remote and hybrid roles.

The interview process has 3 steps: a technical assessment, an HR interview, and a final interview with the Operations Manager. The whole thing takes about 3 weeks, but it can take longer depending on the Operations Manager's schedule. They advertised this role saying they encourage recent graduates, but it felt unfair because they ended up choosing someone with prior work experience. It was a waste of a lot of my time and effort.
