First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Equus Software.
UI-UX Designer
The interview process was moderately complex but generally positive. It moved quickly and clearly, involving interviews with various departments and roles before the final offer and alignment stage.
- Can you share your background with B2B companies?
Solutions Consultant
The interview had two or three rounds, which included conversations with peers. It was pretty laid-back and gave a good sense of the role and what's expected. I had previously applied for a Client Success role and had already spoken with the Talent Team, which likely meant fewer interview rounds for me.
- How well do you handle public speaking?
Business Analyst
The interview process kicked off with the initial application and then a competency test that included Excel, SQL, and some other tasks. The next step was a Zoom interview with the London office recruiter. Unfortunately, when I asked about the possibility of a more remote-focused hybrid position, which I had already indicated interest in on my application and through a referral, the recruiter immediately shut me down. This made me feel like the interviewer wasn't prepared or didn't properly read my application. I really didn't appreciate the recruiter's tone during the interview, and I feel like my time was wasted. If the requirement for in-office work is strict, they should have just denied my application from the start. I'd suggest Equus be more open to candidates interested in remote and hybrid roles.
- What piqued your interest in a role at Equus Software?
- What is your motivation for seeking a new position?
Technical Recruiter
Had 3 online interviews spaced out weekly from the US, which were nice and welcoming. The last in-person interview was the opposite and unpleasant. If a candidate isn't qualified, they should be told immediately instead of wasting time by proceeding. It felt like the final decision was made in the last interview, and it would have been better to do that one first to save everyone time. Happy I didn't get an offer because the person I would've worked with locally seemed like a disaster and I wouldn't want to work with her.
