Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Equitable Advisors.
Associate
The interview experience was alright, and the people were pleasant. I'm not sure it's the best place to work given some reviews, though. They mostly just talked about the role and what you'd be doing.
- What makes you interested in a finance career?
Associate
The interview process wasn't the most pleasant. A very assertive saleswoman discussed her rationale for earning more than her peers based on performance. They also covered the compensation structure, so if you're not comfortable with a commission-based role, you probably shouldn't proceed with the interview.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Please complete the assignment.
Lead Associate
I had a phone interview, then an in-person interview. After that, there was a second in-person interview which included a team interview. Then I got the offer, followed by background checks. My start date was 2 weeks later and it's been great ever since. I'll never leave this company if possible. Everyone should want to work here! That's the truth.
- Are you able to keep up with a very fast pace?
