Account Manager
So the hiring process was pretty standard. I got a call from a recruiter a few days after I applied. They mainly asked about my personality and my work history, and then they had me take a DISC assessment before passing me on to the hiring manager. The hiring manager was late for our video meeting and seemed kind of uninterested and just read off a script. They weren't really interested in hearing about my experience, just wanted to know how I'd handle specific hypothetical situations, which are tough to answer without more context. I was told I'd hear back by the end of February, but it's now March 26th and I still haven't heard anything, even though they've reposted the job. It feels like they aren't serious about hiring anyone and are just wasting candidates' time.
- What's your approach to dealing with an upset customer?
- Can you describe how you organize your workday?
Account Manager
A recruiter from the corporate office spoke with me and asked questions about how I approach new business. They are looking for someone with a hunter mindset. After a 45-minute call, I was sent a personality questionnaire (DISK assessment).
- How do you go about acquiring new business?
Account Manager
Submitted my application online. Had a recruiter screening call over the phone. Got an online DISC assessment emailed to me. Then had a second phone call with the hiring manager. The whole thing took nearly 2 months. The recruiter didn't seem to know much about the job and couldn't answer my questions.
- Tell me about a difficult situation you encountered and how you resolved it.
