I went through three interviews. First was with a recruiter, then the regional sales director, and finally the club manager for the role I was going for. Everyone was super nice and chill, really just wanted to chat and see my sales background.

I was invited for an open call interview day with a regional sales manager and director. Before that, I had a phone screener with HR, who told me I'd be a great fit. Since I was coming from a different field, I was really interested in the sales training Equinox offered. The interviewer seemed distracted until her boss joined, and he asked the same questions the manager did, plus a few more. He was clearly the decision-maker, and I found him rude and condescending, even though he also said I'd be a good fit. The questions were moderate, mostly situational, and focused on sales tactics. I sent detailed thank you notes to both, but then got a generic email from HR saying they went with another candidate. I asked for specific feedback since I'd met two people, but HR just repeated the first response without explaining why. The HR rep seemed inexperienced and not really connected to the internal team or the job itself. Overall, it was unprofessional, and I'm fine with it not working out.

Had a phone chat with a recruiter who's based in a different city. It was mostly just to see if I'd be a good fit for the company and if they'd be a good fit for me. Didn't get a ton of details about the role though.
