First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Equinox.
Front Desk
Had a quick phone chat where they asked about my resume, my past work, and what I knew about the company. They also gave me an idea of the shifts they have available and then invited me for an in-person interview.
- Tell me what you know about Equinox.
Front Desk
So you can get interviewed for this position in two ways: either you know someone who knows the manager, or you show up on specific interview days that Equinox has. If you go the second route, you just head to the front desk and ask about openings or interview days. Then you'll have a one-on-one interview, usually with the fitness manager. This is the most crucial part of the interview. It's all about your attitude and how you present yourself. You're basically interviewing to be the face of Equinox, so that's what the manager is looking for. Also, show you're a people person who's responsible and energetic, and you should be good. It really helps if you already know someone working there because word of mouth is a big deal at Equinox.
- The questions weren't really that hard, it felt more like I was being evaluated on my appearance and how I handled myself, which makes sense for a front desk role.
- They seemed to be judging me based on how I held myself together and my overall appearance.
- They wanted to see if I was a people person.
Front Desk
It was a quick process, especially since I had prior front desk experience. I came in with my resume and cover letter, and we talked about my front desk skills and experiences with different situations I've handled.
- How would you manage payment issues encountered at the front desk?
