Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Equinor.
Graduate Trainee
First, there were some assessments. Then, a video interview where you had to talk about yourself and why you want to work for Equinor, using examples from your past. Finally, there were group and individual interviews with the hiring team, including a simple group case study where we had to manage our time under pressure because of time constraints.
- Why are you interested in Equinor?
- Tell me about yourself.
- Can you share some examples from your past experiences?
Graduate Student
The interview is online and doesn't offer much interaction between the candidate and the interviewer. My prior internship experience didn't seem to help much, based on what I gathered from the full-time employees.
- Can you share an instance from your team experience where things didn't go as planned? Describe how you and the team navigated and resolved the issue.
Graduate Program
So Equinor's online interview process first starts with an application screening. After that, you'll have some psychometric and skills assessments to do. Then, you move on to a recorded video interview where you answer pre-set questions. This is followed by live video interviews where they'll do a behavioral and technical evaluation. If you make it to the end, you might talk with some senior team members before they make an offer, if you're selected.
- What makes you interested in Equinor?
- Can you share an example of a team effort you were part of and describe your contribution?
- What motivates your interest in this specific role?
