First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Equinor.
Intern
The internship interview process felt very impersonal. It was all HireVue recordings without any real-time human interaction, though I later found out that actual people did review the video submissions. The questions themselves were straightforward but a bit vague. It was hard to fully showcase my abilities without being able to ask follow-up questions or clarify things.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Equinor?
- Describe a challenge you have encountered and how you dealt with it.
Intern
first you must complete interactive tasks mapping your IQ, decision-making and personality. If you do good enough, you get through to an interactive interview consisting of 4-5 questions that you need to record yourself answering.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Describe a situation where you encountered conflict within a team.
- What drives your interest in this particular role?
Intern
The interview process was pretty standard. Before starting, they made sure my microphone and camera were working. There was a practice question to get warmed up before the actual interview began. For each question, I had 30 seconds to think and then 2 minutes to record my answer. They asked five questions focused on motivation and assessing my abilities.
- Could you start by telling us about yourself?
- What is your motivation for applying to this position?
- What skills and qualities do you think you can contribute to this role?
