Engineer
Had a quick 10 minute call with an external recruiter. She asked about my current job, what I want to earn, and skills I have. I got the invite for the call just one day before.
- Can you share your salary expectations?
- What's the reason for your job search?
- Could you highlight three skills that make you a good fit for this role?
Engineer
The hiring process involved an initial phone screening call, followed by a video interview. This was a good experience talking with the recruiter and hiring manager. However, the overall hiring process took quite a while. Because of background checks and internal procedures, there's a significant delay between seeing a job advertisement and actually starting the job. Also, if you're moving to Norway from another country and accepting a position there, be aware that during your first year, you might not receive a salary in June or you might not get any holiday days off - the holiday pay replaces the salary in June and is calculated based on the previous year's earnings. It might be possible to discuss and agree on a different arrangement for this.
- How would you order the Equinor values based on your personal connection to them?
Engineer
The interviewers were really outgoing and went through my resume. There were very few behavioral questions, and no technical ones at all. The interviewers were super responsive, which made the whole thing pretty relaxing. The recruiters were alumni too, so we had a lot to chat about. They've worked with interns before, so they could answer a lot of my questions about what the role would be like.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
