First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Epicor Software.
Consultant
The process had 3 phases. An HR specialist walked me through it. It was very easy. They kept me engaged the whole time from the first interview to the first day.
- What aspects of Epicor appeal to you?

The whole process of planning, scheduling, and execution was the worst I've ever experienced! Initially, the interview was set for a non-working day, but it was then rescheduled to a working day with very little notice. I still decided to attend because the HR person promised all rounds would be completed within 1.5 hours. I arrived 15 minutes before the scheduled time, as instructed in the email. The HR met me after a 10-minute wait and said the panel would see me soon. However, even after the interview time had passed and I had waited a total of 40 minutes from my arrival, the panel wasn't ready. The HR then asked me if the panel had met me, implying it was my job to find them. I responded with a very irritated 'Noooo.' At that moment, I decided this wasn't a place I'd ever want to work because promises weren't kept, even for the interview schedule. The panel of two finally arrived about 5 minutes later, and the interview began. P1 asked the usual 'Brief me about yourself?' I responded by talking about my current company, project, role, and key technologies, then paused. P1 spent this time looking through my resume. P1 then asked, 'What are the technologies used in your current project?' which I had already answered. I repeated the technologies. P2 asked for more details about the technologies, like versions. I provided those details. P1 continued to scan my resume. The pattern continued similarly. P2 asked more sensible, technical questions. P1 mostly scanned my resume and asked pointless questions, either repeating P2 or asking filler questions to reconfirm things already on my resume.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What technologies are employed in your current project?
- Could you provide more specific details about the technologies, such as their versions?
Technical Consultant
The interview process involved 2 telephonic rounds from the USA, focusing on medium complexity questions about past experience and current capabilities, as well as interest in cross-training. Then there were 2 face-to-face interviews at the Bangalore office, which were scenario-based and included discussions about challenges faced. Following these, there were 2 HR interviews covering salary, notice period, and interests. The offer was eventually received after significant follow-up with HR, but the offered salary was below average. Unfortunately, the offer was later rescinded due to a delay in accepting the offer letter and communication. While it's understandable for companies to take time in providing offers, the same courtesy wasn't extended in this situation. My expectations from Epicor were high, but the overall process was very disappointing.
- Could you elaborate on your previous work experience?
- What are your current capabilities?
- Are you interested in cross trainings?
